In 2018 the Chinese Government introduced a new set of rules that tightened the specifications on the importataion  of recyclables. That decision resulted in unprecedented attention and debate on the sector from all levels of government, the media and commentators globally, resulting in many challenges for existing recycling systems.

In terms of what this means for Australia, 18 months along what has changed and how has that decision impacted our behaviour and in the way recyclables are now being managed. Rick talks with industry professional and leading industry expert Nick Harford from Equilibrium about what that decision changed in terms of our ongoing recycling performance
